"Jubilant"

"Jubilant"
8.25" x 11.25"
watercolour, 90lb smooth watercolour paper, large chunk salt

I normally only use textured watercolour paper and found the smooth very different to work with.  Will take some getting used to but I really enjoyed doing this piece.

  6. hi Eden,

after I left that comment on your blog, I realised you may have been referring to w/colour pencils! not paints.... oops! :-)

I'd love to see more tie-dye effect experiments by you - I LOVE the colours you use!

  7. Love the colours - love everything about it. Especially the sort of tendril things that make me think of fireworks & also those things inside flowers - I think they're called stamens.

    :-))))

  8. PS - there's a beautiful blue one at top right in the 'moving slide presentation' thingie. It looks identical but diff colours. I would love to buy it, if a copy is available. Could you tell me about it?

  9. hi Katie, I love that this piece makes you think of fireworks!
The blue-ish version you see in the slideshow at top right of the blog is, indeed, the same piece. I just 'inverted' the colours in either a photo editing program or Windows paint. I can't recall which.
you can email me at healingfrommcs at gmail dot com if you'd like to chat about getting a copy :-)
    thanks for your interest!
