Creativity and nature both spark my connection to the sacredness in all things. My connection with the divine is playful and joyful. Never serious yet always sincere.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving such a kind comment. I'm new to Blogland and am blown away by the generosity and talent that exists here! Kudos to you for sticking to your creative path despite obstacles...the mark of a true artist!
I am very flattered that you're following me...the people that I'm coming in contact with through this whole blog phenomenon have provided me with some little lesson or realization that help make me a better artist and overall, happier human being!
Thanks for being one of those people! Your perserverence and positive messages, happy colors and willingness to experiment are all inspiration for the rest of us! Keep at it! I'll be talking to you soon, I'm sure :)
I love this one so much that I don't know any words to adequately express it. This would have to make even the most hardened of criminals happy! Hopefully it wouldn't inspire them to commit more crime, though, if that's what they loved doing :-)
Seriously, what a GREAT painting! (it's paint, right?)
you made me laugh out loud with your astute criminal comments ;-)
I drew the picture first with waterproof black ink and then coloured it in with cheap markers! (with a hint of pencil crayon for the pale background)
The ink needs to be waterproof for this otherwise it will smear when the markers touch it. I guess one could draw it with pencil, colour with marker, then do the lines in any kind of ink - even not waterproof - but I've never much liked drawing with pencil. I love the bold look of the heavy black lines.
I am pretty happy with this drawing - I have it on the wall by my bed and it makes me smile each time I look at it. I'm glad you liked it too! thank you for commenting ☺ ♥ Libby

I'm an artist living in southwestern Ontario. I believe that there is immense healing power in being creative. I feel closest to 'sacredness' and 'divinity' when I am being creative and when I am in nature. I love gardening, reading, animals, kindness, understanding and being gentle with our amazing bodies and wonderful planet! I am on a healing journey of mind, body and spirit. In addition to this creativity blog, I also blog about steadilyrecovering from severe MCS - multiple chemical sensitivity and I share prose & poetry occasionally over at May Words Flow as an experiment in working through cognitive function issues. I just read that it's a drawing, so that means you didn't use paint? What medium did you use?
